Goosebumps
The sight gave me actual goosebumps.
And then it hit me: this happens every time.
After around the third conversation.
Not the goosebumps. That’s just me. Totally beside the point.
The point being: the person in front of me.
Whether actually seated across from me or through a screen in the safety of their own home.
They LOOK different. Not like “extreme makeover different” (I’m not a fitness coach).
Still different.
The client sitting in front of me last week was leaning back in her chair, a slight smile on her face. She took her time to think before explaining to me what was going on, speaking in a calm, self-assured voice. Very matter-of-fact. Very relaxed.
What. A. Difference.
The first time we spoke, back in early June, she was perched at the edge of her seat, speaking quickly, in a higher-pitched voice, filling every silence, laying everything on the table. Visibly uneasy. Fidgeting. Apologetic about stuff that did not warrant an apology.
And now? You wouldn’t recognise her.
You know what happened?
Hun hvilede i sig selv.
That’s a Danish expression I love. It means: She was at peace with herself.
For me it means you’ve settled into the couch of your own being. You’ve kicked off your shoes, curled up your feet, and leaned back in the pillows.
You’re fully at ease with who you are, where you are and what you are doing.
And it shows.
Man does it show.
That, however, doesn’t even come close to how it feels.
GOOD. It feels very good.
It moves mountains. It gets you results.
And the best part? It feels almost natural. The struggle is gone.
You just do.
Goosebumps. I tell you.
Ps. This happens with ALL my clients: all ages, all genders, all backgrounds.
Pps. It’s my clients who do all the work – I’m just there to show them what they were capable of all along.
